Pastor Johnson met his wife Candace in Bible college, and they were married in 1996. God blessed them with five wonderful children who all faithfully serve the Lord in their local church. Candace faithfully and passionately served alongside her husband in the ministry for twenty-five years, but in May of 2022, she was diagnosed with stage four pancreatic cancer and died less than three months later.
The grief that Jesse experienced and the hope he found through God’s Word led to the writing of this book. God especially used the Apostle Peter’s writings to the hurting saints (I Peter) to help Jesse work through his grief, but this book is truly a journey through grief using the entire Bible as the guidebook. You will be greatly encouraged through a multitude of Bible passages and incredibly challenged by the lives of several Bible characters.
